SEO Copywriter
Scope of Role
To optimise content for client websites, either in conjunction with initial design team or as directed by the Senior SEO Copywriter or as part of the ongoing editorial support to the SEO engineers.
To assist in the provision of content for Social Media campaigns.
Responsibilities
Respond to briefs for internal and external clients within specified timelines and assist in the production of quality content as required by the Campaign, liaising closely with clients to enable research, production and approval of copy and liaising effectively with any external agencies who are party to any campaign.
Liaise with SEO and Social Media department in the production of content as and when required for article production and over-viewing editorial and other content that may be produced by the SEO team from time to time.
Assist with generating articles on specific requests and assisting with ad hoc projects as and when required when directed.
Ensure all communication is consistent in the high quality of written language.
Key Skills/Experience
Desirable to be educated to degree or equivalent level (BTEC, HND) in English, media studies, communications studies or Journalism, however experience within conventional copywriting or journalism, preferably within a digital media or editorial environment, would be equally acceptable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise way, both written and verbal.
Proven research and interview skills and good writing skills or the ability to develop same and good working knowledge of MS Word and Social Media channels such as facebook or Twitter.
Organised and efficient with a proven ability to multi-task as well as the ability to work on own initiative. Above all the candidate must display a curious nature and lively, broad ranging, intellect.
